Should I trust my printers ink
To express the things I think?
Or should I trust the postage due
To deliver my heart to you?
What side are you sleeping on tonight?
I'm on my back with my arms behind my head
And all I can see is red and blue
Where'd you go cutie?

Concrete Jungles
We pass by houses every day and never see anyone coming out.
People are in there, but we never see them.
We drive our cars every day, and never stop to say hi to the ones next to us.
People are in there, but we never talk to them.
We walk to our office every day, and never stop to talk to the lady with glasses on the fifth floor.
People are everywhere, and we don't even realise.
We're alone, every second of the day.
Stuck in our own worlds,
Trapped in our own minds.
So why then, are we so scared of being alone?
So scared of dying without anyone beside us,
When we have spent our entire lives on our own?

A Way Away
Nobody is perfect and therefore you are nobody.
Because perfect people all have the same lives, and their stories are always similar.
The mistakes we make are what makes us different, helps us to stand out.
They are what makes us somebody.
And so I'm thankful every day that I wake up knowing I am going to have a story to tell that I've never told before.

How flattering is it to hear that you changed someone for the better?
But what if you were already perfect?
I wish they never changed you.
Is it wrong for me to think that?
Come back
Come back
Come back

Stellar
How do you do it?
Make me feel like I do?
How do you do it?
It's better than I ever knew.
Meet me in outerspace.

Over and Out
People come.
People go.
And they come and go again.
And again
And again
And then after a while, they don't come back anymore

Food for Thought
It's a shame knowing someone. You can no longer blame the let downs of your high expectations on the fact that they are strangers, but rather, blame the let downs of your high expectations on yourself for lack of knowing who they are.

You Were an Exception
I picked a lemon for you. From across the train tracks, and we took it home and drew all over it.
Then I sang 'Walking in Memphis' to you on your pool table by the tv, and you asked me for a dance.
And your mum came home and we had indian food for dinner. I've never tasted butter chicken as perfect as that one was.
And then we watched channel v and you stole my phone in the hopes they'd put it on the shout-outs bar.
And I got mad at you and hit you with a pillow.
And then I had to go home, and I kissed you before I left because the clock was at 42 minutes past the hour.
I layed in bed last night, eyes shut tight.
And a voice in my head asked me, 'are you still dreaming?'
And I couldn't answer.
Because I don't know if any of this was real.
And even though I talk to you here and there,
It still doesn't make sense.
